F.A.Q

WTF is this?

It is The Scream Booth, an interactive human white box triggered by the screams (or any loud noise) of the participants. It was first presented at L'Osstibdurn, the regional Burning Man festival of the province of Québec, Canada.

How does this thing works?

The box is 10ft x 10ft x 10ft and made out of 1 inch PVC pipes and connectors, white tarps and bungeeballs. It is divided in two sections, one for the participants and one for the material. The camera is triggered using a Triggertrap device, which has a sound detection feature. Images are captured using a Nikon D7000 and lighting is provided by a pair of Profoto B1 flashes.

Why is my face on this website?

We made sure we had every participant's consent when they participated to The Scream Booth and had a "Terms of Service" page posted in front of the installation. If you don't remember giving consent or if you don't remember L'Osstibdurn at all, well, read the next to see what you can do!

Can I retract a picture?

If your screaming face is on this website and you don't want it there, we will of course remove it! Just use the contact form and tell us exactly which picture you wish to retract and we will make sure to take it down.
